9110. Rudolph Schmidt (1897 – 1985) Painting Carmel Mission c1930s. Signed. Excellent condition. Schmidt was born in Berkeley, CA on Aug. 6, 1897 and studied at the CSFA. He worked in San Francisco as a commercial artist from 1913 until his retirement in 1962. Early in his career he painted representational scenes of Mexico and California; after 1950 his work became more abstract. A lifelong resident of Berkeley. 17.5″h x 13″w. Frame 27.5″h x 23.5″w SOLD
