Irene MacLean was born in California on May 25, 1896. MacLean studied at UCLA. She taught in the California public schools of Vernon, Anaheim, and Alhambra from 1918-48. Her married name was Fry at the time of her death in Los Angeles on May 29, 1980. Member: Pacific Art Association; Southern Calif. Art Teachers Ass’n (pres. 1940).
