She studied at the CSFA and College of Pacific in Stockton. During the 1930s she was a resident of Los Angeles and, while an employee of the Federal Art Project, did horticultural illustrations. As the wife of engineer Richard Lamb, she traveled with her husband to his various work sites. She made many painting trips to Mexico which provided her with much of her subject matter. By 1940 she had settled on the Monterey Peninsula; she died in Gilroy, California on Sept. 12, 1950.
