16364. Early Harry St John Dixon Hammered Copper & Enamel Covered Vase c1915-1920. The Orientalist influence of this piece has roots from Dixon’s several years working for Lillian Palmer in San Francisco from 1911-1917 and was likely made while he worked for Lillian Palmer. Dixon did not sign his pieces during this period. Although similar to Boston Society copper and enamel work, Boston pieces are almost never made with dove-tail construction like this Dixon example.
