4398. Dryad Lester – Harry Peach hammered copper vase c1912. Signed. Excellent original patina. After starting a successful Rattan furniture business, Harry Peach added a metal craft shop to his growing craft business. Peach, a devoted social reformer in England was influenced by William Morris and John Ruskin. This vase looks distinctly like a Dirk van Erp form and may have been copied from van Erp. This would be a unique case of an English piece being influenced by a great American craftsman – with the influence going full circle from Europe to America and back to England. 7″h x 7″d SOLD
