16915. Early Dirk van Erp Hammered Copper & Mica Milkcan Lamp c1908-1909. Very cool straps across top of shade connect. D’Arcy Gaw changed this design by insisting the straps stop with a nice design element and not connect. This lamp shows van Erp’s innate talent without the design sophistication of D’Arcy Gaw. Original grease pencil price on bottom $8.50. A nearly identical lamp base is pictured in front of Dirk van Erp in this November 1909 photo inside D’Arcy Gaw new studio.
