21725. Karl Franz Koch (1888-1975) Oregon Gauche Painting 1927. Born in Sandusky, Ohio 1888, he died in Portland Oregon in 1975. Koch was raised in Minneapolis Minnesota, and at the age of 18 attended the New York Institute of Art and studied under Robert Henri. He attended classes with some of the future Ash Can artists like George Bellows and George Luks.
